This is an decently colored specimen of color-changing chrysoberyl (alexandrite).Here you get a alexandrite crystal in mica schist from the famous type locality the Ural Mountains. The crystal displays typical striations and almost intact crystal faces. Part of the crystal is whitish and shows translucency, the other part is transparent and shows greenish color in daylight and light reddish to colorless color in incandescent light.
