This is a very rare single alexandrite crystal. It is a color changing variety of Chrysoberyl and changes color under different light wavelengths from green in daylight to light red in incandescent light. It has some edge wear, and is relatively light, but nevertheless not much shows color change, some internal gemminess, and a stout overall form.
