Glendonite
Europe
These big, sharp orange-brown pseudomorphed crystals measure up to 7.6 cm in length. These specimens have confused collectors since they first came out in the early 1990s as calcite after something embedded in concretions, then glendonite after ikaite, then as calcite after ikaite; and now classified as calcite variety thinolite, which is a pseudomorph after an unknown mineral. This is a strange, biomorphic-looking pseudomorph from Russia. These big, sharp orange-brown pseudomorphed crystals measure up to 7.6 cm in length.
