A fantastic example of cassiterite from the Erongo Mountains of Namibia.A fantastic example of cassiterite from the Erongo Mountains of Namibia. These cassiterites, discovered in 2022, set the new standard for the species in Erongo, and created a big wave in the mineral community. Lustrous and sharp crystals atop a bed of ilmenite (also rare for the region) make for a fascinating and aesthetic combo. This find produced a limited number of specimens, with none seen since – making this a rare opportunity to own a future Erongo classic.
