A sharp, lustrous and large, 14 mm magenta spinel octohedron nicely set on the face of a white calcite cleavage from Mogok.A sharp, lustrous and large, 14 mm magenta spinel octohedron nicely set on the face of a white calcite cleavage from Mogok, Myanmar. It does have an incomplete basal pyramid and some edge wear but for what it is, and the low price, its pretty darned impressive (especially for Myanmar/Burma where they don't generally get so large).
