Transparent vivid-green uvarovite garnet crystals on one face of gray matrix. Lustrous dodecahedral emerald-green uvarovite garnet crystals scattered over the face of translucent calcite that was dissolved to expose the garnets. Large specimens like this, with nearly complete coverage are uncommon.
