Rutile and Hematite Crystals from Novo Horizonte, Bahia, Brazil. Rutile is a titanium oxide and hematite is an iron oxide. Rutile is most commonly seen as gold or black needle inclusions in quartz crystals, it is rare to see them not embedded in some other mineral.
